Healthcare Insurance Mandate is Constitutional

In the first of four legal challenges to the law passed by Congress that individuals must purchase health insurance, the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati has ruled that this section of Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act is constitutional.

Two of the three judges agreed that Congress did not exceed its authority under the commerce clause of the U.S. Constitution.
